Why Wood Street Mission?

Wood Street Mission provides vital practical support and clothing, toys, books, and school essentials to help children feel more confident, comfortable, and included. Their work is particularly impactful during the festive season through their Christmas Project, which ensures families under financial strain can give their children a magical Christmas filled with gifts and joy.

Knowing that our contributions help local children experience a happier Christmas is something our whole team feels deeply connected to.

Rolling Up Our Sleeves: Volunteering with Wood Street Mission

Donating items is only one part of our support. Last year, our team spent a full day volunteering at Wood Street Mission, helping sort donations, prepare Christmas parcels, and support the charity’s daily operations.

We are thrilled to be returning again this year and on 16th December, our management team will be volunteering across the charity, assisting wherever help is needed. It’s a day we all look forward to -an opportunity to step away from our desks and make a hands-on difference.

Supporting Education Through Smart Start

For the past two years, we have also taken part in Wood Street Mission’s annual quiz night, helping to raise essential funds for their Smart Start initiative. Smart Start provides children with new school uniforms, sports kits, shoes, and school supplies so they can walk into school with confidence and equality.

Access to the right school essentials has a genuine impact on a child’s learning experience and self-esteem, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting this initiative.
